Gregory J. Eppel, age 60, of Coldwater passed away Monday, February 5, 2024, at his home surrounded by family.
There will be no services at this time. A private family burial will take place at Mason Cemetery in Coldwater at a later date.
Arrangements are entrusted to the Eagle Funeral Home-George White Chapel in Quincy.
He was born December 11, 1963, in Adrian MI. He married Marcia Zeiter on December 29, 2000, and she survives.
Greg graduated from Columbia Central High School and earned his bachelor’s degree from Eastern Michigan University in both Business Administration and Teaching. He retired from Watkins Oil in Hillsdale, where he was the Office Manager and Treasurer (and damned good at both).
Greg loved golfing at all the local courses, but most of all, he loved spending time with his family.
Surviving besides his wife, Marcia is his father, James Eppel; sister, Ruth Eppel of Stryker, OH; brother, Myron (Clara) Eppel of Toledo; bonus brother, Steve Eppel; niece, Randi (Josh) Head; nephew, Gregory Eppel; great niece and nephews, Cailyn, Caiden, Cale and Christian; mother-in-law, Mary Zeiter; brother-in-law, Dennis Zeiter; and sister-in-laws, Christie (Steve) Iler and Michelle (Darrel) Powell.
He was preceded in death by his son, Joshua Eppel; and father-in-law, James Zeiter.
Memorial contributions are suggested to Bella Vista Golf Course, 608 1 Straight Dr., Coldwater MI., in honor of Greg to help the younger generation learn to love the sport as he did.
