WASHINGTON, D.C. (WTVB) – The U.S. House has passed by a unanimous vote a bill co-sponsored by Republican Congressman Tim Walberg called the Enhancing Detection of Human Trafficking Act.
Walberg introduced the bill along with Democratic Congressman Gregorio Kilili Camacho Sablan Republican Congresswoman Ann Wagner.
According to a statement from Walberg’s office, H.R. 443 ensures the Department of Labor effectively trains its employees to recognize and respond to the illegal trade of people for exploitation or commercial gain.
