COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – After being scrubbed for Winterfest on January 24 due to poor weather conditions, the Kiwanis Club of Coldwater announced on Thursday that the 2024 Cardboard Sled Races have been rescheduled for this Saturday, February 17, at Heritage Park.
The races for youngsters eight years old and under in Class One will take place at 11:00 a.m..
Class Two races for those between nine and 17 will start at 12:00 noon.
The Class Three races for adults and teams will take place at 1:00 p.m.
All entries have to be checked in a half hour before the start of their race.
The design judging has already taken place.
The Kiwanis Club announced the January 24 cancellation on the day before Winterfest after a week of temperatures above the freezing mark which caused the snow on the ground to melt away. It was also too warm to make snow since the mercury has to be below 30 degrees for the Kiwanis Club’s snow machine to work.
