Daniel Canales “Dan” Castillo, 40, of Quincy, MI passed away Wednesday, February 14, 2024 at his home.
Cremation has taken place with a Celebration of Life to be held at a later date. A burial of ashes will be held at Ft. Custer National Cemetery in Augusta, MI.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Dutcher Funeral Home in Coldwater.
Dan was born August 7, 1983, to Roberto T. and Melba C. (Canales) Castillo in Tucson, AZ.
Dan honorably served his country in the United States Army. Upon returning home, he worked many years with AT&T and ultimately as a commercial driver for AutoZone.
Dan had a passion for the outdoors and loved sharing that passion with his children. From walks through the park and hikes through the forest, to enjoying board games. Dan’s happiness was always found with time well spent with his family; the family cookouts and get-togethers were truly a joy that he always looked forward to.
He will be dearly missed as a beloved son, father, brother, and friend.
Dan is survived by his mother Melba Castillo of Houston, TX, his children Nikolai Castillo and Adell Castillo of Grand Junction, MI. His siblings Belinda (Leo) Andaverde of Mendon, Rigoberto (Delilah) Castillo of Houston, TX. His nieces and nephews Nikolas Andaverde, Monica Andaverde, Kally Castillo, Ezekiel Castillo and the mother of his children Kaitlyn Galvan of Grand Junction, MI.
Dan was preceded by his father Roberto Castillo and his brother Jose E. Castillo.
