QUINCY, MI (WTVB) – The Quincy School Board of Education approved a resolution Monday night which calls for a five-year millage renewal proposal to be on the August 6 primary ballot.
Voters in the Quincy School District will be asked to allow the school district to continue levying the current authorized millage rate which has a limitation of 18.3065 mills.
The funding is required for the school district to receive its revenue per pupil foundation allowance and renews millage that will expire with the 2024 tax levy.
It’s estimated the revenue the school district will collect if the millage is approved and 18 mills are levied in 2025 is over $1-point-5 million.
