BRANCH COUNTY, MI (WTVB) – Ten bowlers from Branch County qualified for the M.H.S.A.A. individual finals on Saturday during regional competition.
Coldwater will send four bowlers to the Division Two State Finals next weekend at Century Bowl in Waterford following regional competition at Continental Lanes in Kalamazoo.
The boys bowled in the morning. Only the top seven out of 63 bowlers advance to the State tournament.
All six of the Coldwater boys finished in the top 47, with Brady Hawver and Owen Blackman making the cut to advance to State.
Hawver finished third while Blackman was right behind in fourth place.

The girls bowled in the afternoon with a field of 53. All six Coldwater girls finished in the top 20.
Lily Cook was fourth and Ashlyn Caswell was seventh and they will move on to the State tournament.

After having both teams win regional titles on Friday, Bronson will have six bowlers competing for individual honors next weekend at the M.H.S.A.A. Division Four state finals at Northway Lanes in Muskegon.
Three Bronson boys qualified for the state finals as Joshua Friedel was third, Clayton Shortridge was fourth and Andrew McConn was fifth in the Division Four regional tournament at Bronson’s Strike Zone.

Bronson will also send three girls to the individual state finals after they finished in the top three of the regionals at the Strike Zone. Hadassah Bloom was first, Morgan McConn was second and Valentina Medina finishers third.
