FREMONT TOWNSHIP, IN (WTVB) – An Angola man lost his life Monday night in a roll over crash south of Fremont, Indiana. The Steuben County Sheriff’s Department says the crash in a field on the west side of State Road 827 near County Road 300 East which involved a Ford F-150 pickup truck was discovered by one of their deputies at about 9:45 p.m. while they were on routine patrol.
A preliminary crash investigation indicated that 42 year old Antonio R. Wright was traveling north on 827 when for an unknown reason, the vehicle went off the east side of the road.
It was then over corrected and went off the other side of the road where it rolled over several times before coming to rest in the field.
Wright was ejected from the vehicle and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The crash remains under investigation by the Steuben County Sheriff’s Office.
They were assisted by the Indiana State Police, Steuben County EMS, the Fremont Fire Department and the Steuben County Coroner’s Office.
