STURGIS, MI (WTVB) – In girls high school golf, Coldwater traveled to the Island Hills Golf Course to play in the Sturgis Invitational Tuesday and came away with a fourth place finish in the 13 team field. St. Joseph won the event with a 354 followed by Battle Creek Lakeview at 358, Marshall at 362 and Coldwater at 367.
Coldwater was led by Hunter Jenkot whose round of 85 was good enough for fifth place overall in the tournament. Claire Sheppard and Jayla Goodwin each carded 92’s, Micki Slack had a 98, Kelly Warner had a 108 and Elloree Madden rounded out Coldwater’s scoring with a 110.
Coldwater will be playing Thursday in the Interstate – 8 Conference Championship at the Bedford Valley Golf Course in Battle Creek.
