Sandra Gayle Mancino, 79, of Coldwater, MI passed away peacefully Tuesday, March 5 2024, at Rose Arbor Hospice Residence in Kalamazoo, MI surrounded by her loving family.
According to her wishes, cremation has taken place and private family services will be held.
Arrangements are being cared for by Dutcher Funeral Home.
Sandra was born November 21, 1944, in New Britain, Connecticut to Gilbert and Sylvia (Shimanski) Drapel. She married Joseph Mancino on May 18, 1967, in Hartford, Connecticut. He preceded her in death April 27, 2013.
Sandra, along with her husband Joe, began their careers in the restaurant business in Oregon before coming to Coldwater in 1978, where they opened their first Mancino’s. They operated the restaurant for 8 years, then expanded into a nationwide franchising operation known as Bellacino’s, where Sandra was the CEO/president for many years.
Sandra was a member of Altrusa, Coldwater Elks Club, Coldwater Golf Club, and the Coldwater First Baptist Church. She enjoyed playing golf, going to the casino, spending time in Florida with her friends and family, and spoiling her grandchildren, who she loved more than anything in this world.
Sandra is survived by her daughters Kimberly (Chip) Benedict of Grand Blanc, Jolie (Dan) Warnaar of Schoolcraft; her sister Linda (Jeff) Rothburg of Delray Beach, FL; her grandson Austin Benedict, her granddaughter Morgan (Jared) Rice, her grandson Colin Benedict, and her granddaughter Dani (Jack Hunt) Warnaar. She is also survived by many sisters in-law, brothers in-law, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In addition to her husband, she was also preceded in death by her parents and her brother Donald Drapel.
Memorials may be directed to Altrusa International of Branch County, the ProMedica Coldwater Cancer Center or the Coldwater First Baptist Church.
