COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – A proposed city gift and donation policy was set aside by the Coldwater City Council Monday night after questions were raised by audience members and a member of the Council.
City Manager Keith Baker proposed the policy.
Council Member Jim Knaack had questions about the part of the ordinance which stated the City Council shall not approve any donation that is considered offensive, controversial or has morally questionable material.
After further discussion, a consensus of the Council decided the proposed policy should be tweaked and brought back at a later time.
