Learlean “Carol” Gardner, 86, of Coldwater passed away Monday, March 11, 2024 at The Laurels of Coldwater.
Funeral services will be held Friday, March 15, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at the Eagle Funeral Home-George White Chapel in Quincy with Pastor Kim Cole officiating.
Burial will follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Litchfield.
Visitation will be held Friday from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service.
She was born January 12, 1938, in Magoffin County, Kentucky to Seldon and Virgie (Miller) Wireman.
Carol graduated from Wertland High School in Kentucky. She was formerly employed at Federal Mogul, Acorn Products and Shaw Shoes.
She loved hunting for good deals at local thrift stores, fishing, listening to music and dancing. Carol was a former reverend and member of the Church of the Holy Spirit.
Survivors include one daughter, Edith Dale Brown of Coldwater; brothers, Victor (Linda) Blanton of Union City, Eddie Blanton of Greenup, KY and Paul Blanton of Texas; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren also survive.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Charles “Chuck” Gardner; and siblings, Nora Ann Patton, Gene Blanton, Jim Blanton, Elvie Barley, Dora Mae Malcomb and Harley Blanton.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Church of the Holy Spirit.
