BRONSON, MI (WTVB) – The Bronson City Council approved a new location for the Bronson Polish Festival truck pulling track on Monday night.
With the construction scheduled to start soon for a storage unit facility at 150 Wayne Street, the Bronson Viking Alliance needed a new location for the track.
Following approval by the City Council, the track will be moved over to the east onto land owned by the City of Bronson for future residential growth.
Polish Festival Chair Candy Cox expressed her support.
City Manager Brandon Mersman says the Alliance would sign a five-year lease for the land with the City having the ability to opt out of the lease with 30 days’ notice.
Truck pulls are held during the Bronson Polish Festival as a way to raise money for the Bronson High School athletics program. Over $30,000 has been raised by the Bronson Viking Alliance over the last couple of years.
The Bronson Viking Alliance was formed in 2021 to pick up the event after it had to be cancelled in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
