COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The number of Branch County residents who have died after testing positive for COVID-19 climbed by four in Wednesday’s report from the Branch-Hillsdale-St. Joseph Community Health Agency.
That brought the death toll from the virus in Branch County up to 24 which includes 19 deaths since October 1.
Meanwhile, there have been 32 deaths reported in Hillsdale County and 20 in St. Joseph County.
The C.H.A. said there were 50 new Branch County cases on Tuesday which brought the total since March up to 1,608. Over 1,000 cases have been reported in Branch County since October 8.
The latest Branch County COVID-19 statistics from the C.H.A. on Wednesday show 819 men and 752 women have tested positive for the virus. The most infected age group have been 25 to 39 year olds with 409 cases followed by 40 to 49 year olds with 261 cases.
The Coldwater zip code has had 986 cases followed by 229 cases in the Bronson area zip code
