BRANCH COUNTY, MI (WTVB) – The Branch County Road Commission has eight paving projects scheduled as part of this year’s maintenance plan.
Roads that are scheduled for paving work this year include Central between South Angola and Block, North Marshall from State to Jonesville, Fisher from Cornell to the bridge, Cornell from Fremont to Fisher, Girard from Babcock to Dunk and Creamery from Union City to Railroad.
Portions of Maple, Wildwood and Stringtown Roads are also scheduled for paving work.
As part of a contract with DTE and its Sauk Solar project, almost four miles of Burlington and Hayner Roads will be paved.
There are 16 locations that are scheduled for sealcoating this year. The largest stretch will be nearly four miles of Barnhart Road between River and Snow Prairie Roads.
Sealcoating! Is that the same as chipseal? Because if it is, it is a step backward. Our drives were chip sealed last summer. It made the roads like a dirt road.
