COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – It was a morning of dense fog around Branch County and the surrounding area.
It forced all of the Branch County school districts to delay the start of classes by two hours for the first time this year. A National Weather Service Dense Fog Advisory lasted until 10:00 a.m.
Visibility at the Branch County Memorial Airport was a quarter mile or less throughout the morning.
The dense fog rolled in just before 2:00 a.m. and hung around past the middle of the morning, thanks in part to calm winds.
