COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – A painting of the old Branch County Courthouse, which burned down in 1972, has been donated to the county.
Brian Welch and Denise Shively presented the painting to the Branch County Board of Commissioners last Thursday. The painting had been in their family for years.
Welch said his father wanted the county to have it when he passed away.
County Administrator Bud Norman says the painting will be displayed in the courthouse.
