COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The 36th edition of the Coldwater Car Show and Swap Meet will be held next weekend at the Branch County Fairgrounds.
Organizers are hoping for another successful year after last year’s event attracted 2,779 spectators on Saturday’s and 1,007 show cars.
The event is held rain or shine every Mother’s Day weekend.
This year’s chair is James Brooks and he says the gates will open at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 11.
The Saturday afternoon Cruise through the downtown area and other parts of Coldwater will follow the same route as in previous years.
Both east and west bound traffic on U.S. 12 was detoured onto Sprague, Garfield and Butters Avenue during the Cruise.
The gates on Sunday will also open at 8:00 a.m.. There will be a children’s bike parade and giveaway at 1:00 p.m. with the Grand Prize drawing wrapping up the weekend at 2:00 p.m..
The Coldwater Swap Meet and Car Show is a non-profit organization and the show proceeds go to local charities.
