SHERWOOD, MI (WTVB) – When a disaster like what happened on Tuesday night in southwest Michigan takes place, neighbors help out their neighbors.
Volunteers from the Sherwood Free Methodist Church were out Thursday trying to deliver water and food for those who couldn’t travel to the church for items needed.
Donations at the church have included toilet paper, crayons with coloring books, paper towels, water and food. There have also been numerous offers from people who inquired at the church if any help was needed with the clean up.
Meanwhile, sightseers continue to cause some problems as the Sherwood area tries to recover from Tuesday night’s destructive tornado.
Traffic control was needed Thursday morning so Consumer’s Energy crews could perform their power restorations jobs at Athens and Dunks Roads and at Athens and Blossom Roads.
Once again, you are being asked to stay out of the Sherwood area and let the clean up continue if you have no business there.
