ANGOLA, IN (WTVB) – Four people, including a Reading man, were arrested Friday night in Steuben County as the Indiana State Police conducted a “saturation patrol” in and around the Angola area.
39-year-old James N. Hubbard was arrested on a misdemeanor invasion of privacy charge during a traffic stop on I-69 just south of the Michigan-Indiana state line after Troopers say he was in the vehicle with an adult female and two juvenile children for whom he was barred from having contact with.
Three other persons were arrested on drug related charges as the emphasis for the patrol was on identifying those committing drug-related offenses.
Two people from Fort Wayne were arrested on I-69 at the Angola exit when over 30 grams of marijuana was found during a search of the vehicle they were in.
Another traffic stop led to the arrest of a man on possession of methamphetamine, marijuana and paraphernalia charges.
Eight Indiana State Police troopers patrolled the area from late afternoon until just before midnight. During that time, more than 80 combined tickets and warnings were issued.
