QUINCY, MI (WTVB) – The Quincy Orioles scored 38 runs in a Thursday doubleheader sweep of Hillsdale on Senior Night.
The Orioles won the opening game 16-1. The game was stopped because of the 15 run mercy rule.
Winning pitcher Danika Skirka struck out six in two innings of work.
Deziray Skirka went four for four at the plate while Miley Poindexter went three for three with two stolen bases.
Payton Gross hit a three run inside the park home run. Kaylee Modert drove in three runs.
Quincy continued their hot hitting into game two as they won 21-6 in four innings.
Gross was the winning pitcher and drove in five runs at the plate.
Deziray Skirka added three more hits including a double. Alyssa McCavit went three for three with a double. Josie Mescher came through with three hits and five RBI’s.
The weather was more cooperative on Thursday than Tuesday as Quincy was able to honor their Seniors:
