UNION CITY, MI (WTVB) – After serving as the Union City Elementary School Principal for five years, Jennifer Johnson will be stepping down as of June 30, 2024.
Johnson has informed the Union City School Board she has accepted a position with the Calhoun Intermediate School District where she will serve as a Multi-Tiered System of Supports consultant.
She said the decision was “an arduous one, weighed with careful consideration and heartfelt contemplation. However, I believe it is the right move for me at this time.”
Her resignation is expected to be accepted by the School Board on Tuesday night.
Union City Superintendent Chris Katz will have some information during the meeting on the process the district will go through to hire their next elementary principal.
