JACKSON, MI (WTVB) – The Quincy Baseball team traveled to Jackson Lumen Christi on Saturday the compete in what has become an annual end of the regular season doubleheader.
The Orioles and state ranked Titans were tied 1-1 heading into the bottom of the 6th inning of the first game when the Titans scored four runs and won by a score of 5-1.
Brennen Allman was sharp on the mound in his final tune up before a pre district game on Tuesday as he blanked the Titans over three innings. Jimmy Maynard pitched well in relief for 2 2/3 innings and Landon Beardon finished the game on the mound.
The Quincy bats were limited to just three hits, two from Maynard and one from Ryan Kempter who scored the Orioles lone run.
In game two the Titans pounded out 13 hits enroute to a 5 inning 14-0 win. Kempter, Alex Barry, Parker Fraley and Mickey Connin all pitched for the Orioles who managed just two hits.
With the regular season in the books the 15-13 Orioles turn their sights to a pre district match up with rival Bronson on Tuesday at home. Game time slated for 5:00 p.m..
