COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Coldwater and Marshall have been fierce rivals in high school sports going back many years but the two communities are teaming up for a good cause next week.
The 2017 Bird Bowl to benefit Marshall Area Community Services will take place next Thursday, August 31, 2017 at the Marshall High School Athletic Complex, as Marshall will face Coldwater in soccer and football. One ticket gets fans into all three events.
The J.V. soccer match starts at 4:00pm followed by the varsity soccer match. The varsity football game starts at 7:30 p.m.
Fans are asked to bring in new socks to donate to MACS. In return for the donation, Marshall Community Credit Union and Oaklawn Hospital will provide event give-aways.
The Marshall Athletic Boosters will be hosting a tailgate for only $5. Money will also be raised through Bird Bowl t-shirt sales.
