VICKSBURG, MI (WTVB) – In girls high school volleyball, Coldwater went 3-0-1 and won the Vicksburg Round Robin Tournament Monday.
The Lady Cardinals defeated Parchment 25-11, 25-11, St Joe 25-15, 26-24 and Thornapple-Kellogg 25-13, 25-20 before splitting with Vicksburg 25-15, 23-25.
Malorie Rzepka led the team in kills with 21, Jamie Wellet had 20 kills and 31 assists, Jasmine Wellet had 17 kills and 28 digs. Drue Mullin led in digs with 37 and aces with 5, Tyler Scheid had 14 kills and led in blocks with 5. Olivia Foley had 26 assists and Ellory Farmer had 25 assists.
Coldwater’s record is now 6-1-2.They play again Thursday at home vs Adrian for parent night and youth night.
The Coldwater freshman volleyball team also finished first at the Vicksburg Tournament as they went 4-0-1. They defeated Centreville, Parchment, Portage Northern and Three Rivers while they split with Vicksburg.
Amber Sutherland had 16 digs, nine aces and five kills. Victoria Gonzalez had 19 aces and 14 assists while Madison Beckhusen had 12 aces and nine digs. Coldwater’s record is now 9-1-1 and they will host Adrian Thursday night.
