COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – You can expect to see some more improvements at the Waldron Learning Center in the near future.
The Branch I.S.D. Board of Education approved a nearly $2-point-3 million base bid from Corrigan Construction of Kalamazoo last week.
It was the only bid submitted to the B.I.S.D. as plans call for an increase in parking spaces. The deteriorating parking lot will also be replaced.
In addition, a deteriorating ramp will be replaced and a canopy will be added to protect students from the weather.
The Waldron Learning Center opened in 1978. It provides educational services for students with moderate to severe impairments and is operated by the Branch Intermediate School District.
The B.I.S.D. board about a year ago approved a bid of over $327,000 from Sinclair Restoration of Holland for the installation of playground equipment at the Waldron Center.
