HANOVER, MI (WTVB) – The Quincy girls softball team concluded the regular season on Tuesday by droping both games of a doubleheader at Hanover-Horton by scores of 12-2 and 6-4.
It what was supposed to be a home doubleheader for the Orioles but the twinbill was switched to Hanover-Horton as the Orioles field was unplayable due to all the rain over the last few days.
Deziray Skirka hit her fourth homer of the season in the first game.
A Payton Gross single and a Alyssa McCavit two run homer in the first inning, her 6th of the season, helped Quincy build a 4-1 lead before the Comets rallied for three runs in the fifth and two more in the sixth to take the lead.
Quincy finished the regular season with a 19-12 record.
The Orioles will face Jonesville on Saturday at noon in the M.H.S.A.A. Division Three District Tournament at Homer.
