COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Coldwater Exchange Club and Coldwater High School’s Interact Club will be joining forces for the first ever “Kickoff to Summer” event on Saturday.
Both events are family friendly. The ABC Challenge, a mud run/obstacle course, will take place from 9:00 a.m. to 12 noon at the Branch County Fairgrounds.
Jackson Reilly from the Interact Club says the ABC Challenge is good not-very-clean fun.
Activities surrounding the 31st Annual Coldwater Exchange Club Duck Race next door to the Fairgrounds at Waterworks Park will start at 10:00 a.m. that morning with the actual duck race beginning at around 1:15 p.m..
The Coldwater Exchange Club is hosting the event for the third straight year. Organizer Carrie Stout says the profits will benefit many organizations and projects around Branch County.
Jennifer Poe says the ducks are once again being sold for $5 and many local businesses are sponsoring prizes for the top 25 finishers.
Besides the duck race, there will be food, kids games, face painting, live music with Delbert Walling and Cate Heberl, door prizes and a basket raffle.
