COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – New court dates have been schedule in Branch County District Court for the case of Quincy Schools Business Manager Cheryl Globke who was charged last month with allegedly mishandling public money.
Globke was one of three administrators charged as part of an investigation into how they handled sexual misconduct allegations against former teacher Jason Ferrell.
She was scheduled for a probable cause hearing on Thursday but it has been adjourned until October 12, 2017. A preliminary exam that was originally scheduled for next Thursday is now scheduled for October 19, 2017. No reason was given for the change in court dates.
The Quincy School Board August 1, 2017 placed Globke and High School Principal David Spalding on unpaid administrative leave due to their pending criminal charges.
Spaulding is scheduled to appear for a District Court pre-trial conference on a misdemeanor charge of Child Abuse-Failure to Report Tuesday morning.
Former Superintendent Craig Artist is next scheduled to appear in court September 7, 2017. He is also facing charges of allegedly mishandling public money and Child Abuse-Failure to Report.
