COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – No trial date has been scheduled yet in Branch County Circuit Court as plea negotiations are continuing in the criminal sexual conduct case of a former Quincy school teacher.
A status conference was held on Monday in the case of 43-year-old Jason Ferrell who is facing two counts of first degree criminal sexual conduct and four second degree C.S.C. counts in connection with alleged incidents involving one of his former students.
Ferrell’s home address is listed as Battle Creek. He is also facing three C.S.C. counts in Calhoun County for alleged crimes involving the same student.
Court records indicate defense attorney Gary Gabry filed for a modification of Ferrell’s $300,000 bond on August 3rd. A ruling on the request has not been made yet.
