COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – A former Coldwater doctor was ordered to serve six months in jail and was placed on probation for 18 months Monday in Branch County Circuit Court.
42-year-old Christina Whitaker entered guilty pleas to two counts of obtaining prescription drugs by fraud. She has also surrendered her medical license to the State of Michigan and it has been permanently revoked.
Whitaker was one of two women charged in connection with the illegal use of Adderal.
In exchange for the guilty pleas, prosecutors dropped 14 other counts against Whitaker.
She was given credit for 143 days credit for time already served.
