COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Coldwater Community Schools will join other Branch County districts this fall in the use of therapy dogs.
The Coldwater Board of Education approved a request to utilize school therapy dogs in the district on Monday night.
Board President Ed Lake read the resolution which stated the district has been looking into using therapy dogs since early May.
Superintendent Paul Flynn says the dogs will be trained at Magnum K-9 in Quincy.
Therapy dogs have been used in recent years in the Quincy and Bronson school districts as well as at Pansophia Academy.
