MARSHALL, MI (WTVB) – The Calhoun County Road Department says countywide pavement marking is expected to begin Monday, weather permitting.
Drivers are being asked to be patient as the pavement marking contractor will be working their way around the county.
Regular waterborne paint should dry within 60 seconds after application, although this time may vary depending on temperature and humidity.
In order to avoid having the paint wind up on your vehicle, drivers are being asked to take alternate routes, avoid driving on recently applied pavement markings and slow down as higher speeds can cause marking material to splatter before curing.
If you get pavement marking materials on your vehicle, wash the affected area with soap and warm water as soon as possible.
