COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – After humble beginnings, the Corner Farmers Market in downtown Coldwater has grown into something which attracts hundreds every Saturday morning during the summer months.
Coldwater Area Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Nichole Steel told the Downtown Development Authority Board Wednesday there were only four vendors when the market started in 2015. 23 vendors and nearly 1,000 people were on hand just a few weeks ago.
The D.D.A. Board approved a $500 request to sponsor the Farmers Market Wednesday. The half dozen sponsors of the Farmers Market help it break even for the year.
Sponsorships help pay for advertising, printing costs and live entertainment at the Farmers Market each week.
