COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The board for the Coldwater Downtown Development Authority approved a six month consulting agreement Wednesday with retired Alliance Foods Group Chair and C.E.O. Bob Harris of Coldwater.
The agreement calls for Harris to receive $1,000 a month for at least 10 hours of work per week as an independent consultant.
He would also be reimbursed for reasonable out-of-pocket expenses and costs incurred.
Harris made a couple of presentations to the D.D.A. earlier this year on new ideas and incentives to attract businesses to the downtown area. He has called it a road map for reinventing retailing in the downtown area.
It was felt in the agreement that Harris has knowledge and expertise in the area of economic development including the developing of potential tenants for local business owners.
