QUINCY, MI (WTVB) – Long time Quincy Community Schools teacher and basketball coach Scott Rodesiler is leaving the district in order to be closer to members of his family.
The Quincy School Board on Monday night formally accepted Rodesiler’s resignation as sixth grade English teacher effective August 9, 2024. He is also giving up his Quincy High School varsity boys basketball coaching position.
Rodesiler has accepted a English teaching position with Edwardsburg High School where he will also coach the varsity girls basketball team.
The Edwardsburg School Board formally approved his hiring during their meeting on June 24 and Rodesiler told the board it was difficult to leave Quincy.
Rodesiler had been a teacher in the Quincy district for 27 years and was the Quincy boys basketball coach for 12 years. His teams compiled a record of 163-99 which included Big 8 Conference and district championships.
