QUINCY, MI (WTVB) – Three teenagers were injured Sunday afternoon in Algansee Township when their pickup truck crashed into a tree.
The Branch County Sheriff’s Department a 16-year-old boy who had just gotten his drivers license was traveling west on Wolfe Road near Phillip Road at a speed too great to negotiate the curve on the gravel top road.
The pickup then slid off the road and struck a tree. According to the Sheriff’s Department, all of the occupants escaped serious injury by wearing their seat belts.
The driver and a 15-year-old female passenger were taken to the Community Health Center of Branch County with non-life threatening injuries. A 18-year-old male passenger was not transported by paramedics.
The driver was cited for speed to fast for conditions.
