NORTH WEBSTER, IN (WTVB) – Just in time for the holiday season, the start of December is expected to turn into a winter wonderland as National Weather Service forecasters are calling for the first accumulating snowfall of the season this week.
Most of Branch County is expected to get two inches of snow by Tuesday morning with as much as three inches expected in the far eastern part of the county.
Forecasters at the National Weather Service Northwest Indiana office say a strong low pressure system will bring accumulating snow and windy conditions to the area late Sunday through Tuesday.
The heaviest amounts will be downwind from Lake Michigan. The area near South Bend, Indiana could see five to seven inches of snow. Extra caution should be taken if travelling during this period.

Wind and moisture, too are essential variables. The Great Lakes are wide open and ripe for snow with a lake effect, but that depends greatly on the exact direction of the winds, which are too difficult to predict early on. https://beststudentadvisors.com/
