BRONSON, MI (WTVB) – Michigan Gas Utilities and its charitable giving organization, the Wisconsin Public Service Foundation, have made a $5,000 donation to assist with the revitalization of Memorial Park in downtown Bronson.
The renovations and other improvements will be unveiled during a ribbon-cutting ceremony hosted by the City of Bronson this afternoon at 5:30 p.m. at Memorial Park, located at the intersection of Matteson and Chicago streets in Bronson.
The donation funds were used to pay for the additions of a cascading rock water feature and brick pathway, as well as landscaping and irrigation improvements in the park.
Memorial Park is a popular venue for Bronson residents each summer, hosting the city’s annual Polish Festival and the “Music in the Park” concert series. City officials hope the revitalization of the park will lead to further investment in and renovation of the city’s downtown.
