COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – ALTRUSA International of Branch County recently found out they were going to get a $4,000 grant from ALTRUSA’s International Foundation that will be used for the Happy Feet Program.
The grant will ensure the local club will be able to buy enough shoes, boots and socks so that Branch County youngsters will have warm and dry feet this winter in spite of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The grant request was submitted last September in anticipation this was going to be a rough year.
Since it began, the program has provided over 5,000 pairs of shoes at a cost of over $75,000.
