BRONSON, MI (WTVB) – The City of Bronson has gotten a grant of almost $74,000 from the State of Michigan which will be used for improvements at Kiwanis Park on the northeast side of the city.
The City got word of the MI Neighborhood Public Amenity grant last week.
Funds will be used mainly for a new play structure in the park.
The land was donated by the Bronson Kiwanis Club and designated as a public park. It was stated in the city’s Parks and Recreation Master Plan which was adopted in January of 2022 that the city would like to update and add new playground equipment to this park.
It was felt Kiwanis Park was underutilized and adding new playground equipment was ranked very high during the Master Plan’s survey process.
