UNDATED (WTVB) – It was a nasty post-holiday surprise. Gas prices have increased 20 cents a gallon or more, getting up to as high as $2.49 in Coldwater earlier this week.
Gas Buddy Senior Analyst Dan McTeague says prices had dipped to near $2 a gallon at some stations and dealers were barely making anything at that price, losing money in some cases, and decided it was time to start making a profit again.
McTeague expects prices to start slowly falling again soon. He says that should be the story for the rest of this summer just as long as crude oil prices remain stable and there are no refinery issues
