COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The annual Old U.S. 27 Motor Tour will once again spend some time in Branch County.
The tour is scheduled to be at Kilgore International at 595 West Chicago in Coldwater for a Cruise In between 5:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. on Monday night.
There will be another Cruise-In on Tuesday from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Performance Plus Quick Oil Change at 775 East Chicago Street.
Cruise participants will be at Short’s Root Beer Stand at 378 West Chicago Tuesday evening between 7:00 p.m. and 8:30 p.m..
After a second overnight stop in Coldwater, there will be a Poker Run and/or Scavenger Hunt on Wednesday morning. Registration will be at 9:45 a.m. in front of the Holiday Inn Express on North Willowbrook Road
Lunch will follow at the Broadway Grille on South Monroe Street. The tour will leave Coldwater and travel north to DeWitt at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
Organizers say over 500 cars will be driving north along Old U.S. 27 during the tour which will visit 13 cities over six days before reaching its final destination in Cheboygan on August 25.
I don’t know if this area is on your route, but the bridge on old 27 is under construction. There are detours, re-check your routes, you’ll probably need to take I-69 to exit 25.
