COLDWATER TOWNSHIP, MI (WTVB) – Township Supervisor Don Rogers says the Medical Marijuana Facilities Licensing Act will not be included as an action item during Monday night’s Township Board meeting.
Rogers adds after talking with members of the Township Board regarding Items for Action to be placed on the agenda for Monday night, “no one wanted to include it as an item to consider nor did they have any intentions to consider this item in the near future.”
He went on to state that until there is an interest by the majority of the board to revist this item, he did not envision the MMFLA being an action item for the Coldwater Township board to consider at any time in the foreseeable future.
The township has had three medical marijuana committee meetings in recent months.
A June 13th meeting draw a standing room only crowd which lasted for almost three hours.
Some of the nearly two dozen people who spoke got emotional.
The large majority said they did not want any medical marihuana facility in Coldwater Township or the community.
