Kenneth Donald Standish, 68, of Sherwood, passed away Friday, November 27, 2020 at Ascension Borgess Hospital in Kalamazoo.
No public services will be held at this time. Interment will take place in Sherwood Cemetery.
Ken was born on August 28, 1952 to William and Doris (Smith) Standish in Newport, RI. He graduated from Kansas City High School and went on to earn a bachelor’s degree. Ken served in the U.S. Navy in the early 1970’s. He worked for many years as a truck driver. He enjoyed music, art, and electronics in his spare time.
Surviving are his sister, Nadine (Don) Deeren of Sherwood; nieces and nephews, Katherine Standish, Christine (Jesse) Stokes, Alissa Wilber, Kathryn (Chris) Blankenship, Kyle (Annette) Deeren and Nikolias Standish; great nieces and nephews – his little roadies, Abigayle Wilbur, Tristian Standish-Deeren, Carson Deeren, and Winston Wilbur; and his best friends, Tony Truijillo and Shawn Hutchison.
Arrangements are being handled by Lighthouse Funeral and Cremation, Union City.
