CONSTANTINE, MI (WTVB) – Three persons from Indiana were arrested Saturday afternoon by the Michigan State Police after they were caught trying to steal a refrigerator from the Peachtree Apartments in Constantine.
Troopers say a recently evicted tenant allegedly invited two other persons to an apartment to take appliances.
They found a refrigerator from the apartment when they stopped a 2007 Ford Explorer that was being driven by a 30 year old woman from LaGrange, Indiana.
Two men in their early 30s from LaGrange and Elkhart were also in the vehicle. All three were arrested for Possession of Stolen Property as well as for being in possession of methamphetamine, marijuana and open intoxicants in a motor vehicle.
All three were lodged at the St. Joseph County jail. The matter is still under investigation.
