QUINCY, MI (WTVB) – The Quincy Village Council gave final approval on Tuesday night to a conceptual plan for the future of the northeast corner of U.S. 12 and Main Street.
The proposed redevelopment of the northeast block of downtown Quincy includes 6,500 square feet of commercial and retail space along with space for a new municipal building, a post office, live and work units and an open market.
The Michigan-based firm Nederveld led the planning process.
The plan has been refined through public comment, social media chatter and exposure at the Quincy Business Expo.
Village Manager Eric Zuzga says this is only a plan and vision and it may change. With final approval by the Village Council, he says Quincy village staff will start to work on making this vision a reality.
