BROOKLYN, MI (WTVB) -A Toledo man was arrested for drunk driving Sunday after he almost hit a Michigan State Police trooper during traffic control for the NASCAR race at Michigan International Speedway.
Troopers say the 37-year-old driver nearly struck the trooper at a traffic point before hitting a traffic barrel and dragging it onto U.S. 127.
The driver was found to be operating while intoxicated. A search warrant was issued to draw his blood but troopers say he began to resist.
Eventually the suspect was arrested and lodged at the Hillsdale County Jail.
