COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Coldwater Board of Public Utilities has announced that the four linemen who are providing mutual aid for victims of Hurricane Helene were released Monday morning from Tallahassee, Florida.
Their next stop is Greer, South Carolina where they will be assisting with mutual aid restoration efforts.
Alison Rourke with the Greer Commission of Public Works says some of the power has been restored.
Greer is between Spartanburg and Greenville. That community and the surrounding area took a direct hit from Helene.
There was widespread flooding, numerous trees were knocked down and the power was just starting to return on Sunday, three days after the storm hit.
