HOMER TOWNSHIP, MI (WTVB) – A 49-year-old Coldwater man was one of two persons arrested Friday afternoon in Calhoun County’s Homer Township following a weapons and drug investigation by the Calhoun County Sheriff’s Department.
Deputies initially went to a home in the 100 block of M-99 to investigate a report of a dispute involving a man who was waving an assault rifle outside of a residence.
They say a search of the home resulted in the discovery of a large amount of crystal methamphetamine, several pounds of marijuana and several weapons including the assault rifle that was reported in the initial call.
The Coldwater man was lodged on a parole detainer while a 34-year-old man was arrested on other unrelated warrants.
The investigation is continuing.
