COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Legg Middle School girls volleyball teams were beaten in two out of three matches against Jackson Lumen Christi on Tuesday night.
The 8th grade team fought hard but came up short 22-25, 22-25. Leading the team on the serving line was Claire Paul with 7 points and 2 aces. Cali Herendeen had 6 points, Hadley Schabloski 3 points and Avrey Qualls 2 points. Keely Love was strong at the net with 5 kills and one block. Kirah Sloan had 4 kills and 2 blocks. Mckenzie Miller 3 assists. Raylee Pawlowski had 3 digs. Sophia Leeper, Avrey Qualls, Hadley Schabloski all added 2 digs each.
The 7th grade A team lost to Lumen Christi 20-26, 25-20, 15-7. Legg was led at the service line by Charlie Woodward 21-23 with 3 aces, Reagan Collons 12-12 with 1 ace, Kenna Perez 13-16, Larue McDonald 9-10, Enola Mitchell 8-10, Ella Howard 7-8, Emmy Thompson 5-6.
The 7th grade B team won two out of three games against Lumen Christi. They won the first game 25-20, dropped the second game 29-27 and then bounced back to win the third game 15-10. Leading the Lady Cards in scoring was Mia Sims serving 13-16, 5 aces, 5 digs, 1 kill, Cloe Rocha serving 13/14, 3 aces, 8 digs, Morelia Oroco serving 9/9, 3 aces, 6 digs, 1 kill, Ellissa Wilson serving 8/8, 1 ace, 9 digs, Allie Finley serving 7/9, 2 aces, 5 digs, Kennedy Hapner serving 5/8, 2 aces, 6 digs, and Jazlynn Wells-Ellis had 2 digs.
